I am sure the reunion will be wonderful….as I scrolled through the names of those coming I couldn’t help but picture your 1963 faces. It would be great to connect again (and give Larry Gould a Biden/Harris button), but we will be in the east for 10 days or so at this time. All well from our perch in Redwood City – stop by if you’re in the area, or connect via whatever social media you use!!
IN MEMORIAM: John Garrison From Larry Gould- and Skip Allen: I am saddened to share the news that another of our classmates has fallen. John Garrison passed away on June 5, 2023 in Newport Beach, California. John loved the sea, was quite a sailor and loved sailing in races to Mexico. His wife, Adrienne, informed me that quite appropriately he wanted a family only burial at sea.
From Ed Munson: I was not aware that John Garrison had passed, he will be missed. I was fortunate to have sailed with him many times. He was well known in the Newport community due to his historic wood sail boat which he donated to Orange Coast Sailing program. Sunny From Roger Woodbury: John, I knew in grade school. He could always stretch the rules. Later on in my life, I became a rebel like John. After my tour in Vietnam, I understood that rules were made to be broken. In SMHS, I was a nerd.
