OTHER: Can anyone help us get contact information for classmate VAL ESTEVA, Our Class of 1963 had 343 people graduate. We know that 77 classmates have passed away. And Caren Curry, who apparently has super detective skills that few were aware of, has recently tracked down nearly 50 missing or bad snail mail addresses. Only Val Esteva remains unaccounted for. Our Class “Open Rate” on these email blasts is an astounding, unheard-of 80%- great to be a “Connected class!” However, we are missing 111 email addresses. Please scan the list below for Classmates without a known email address- and either ask them to Contact me (or Pam Bryan at pambb17@yahoo.com) – or, at a minimum, to monitor our class webpage https://smhs1963.wordpress.com. As most of you know, we have NOT bombarded you all with constant emails. And we never, ever, give out your email addresses to ANYONE. Period. FROM Torun Almer
Dear Chris, Janet, Pam and Caren,
Thank you so much for all your work in keeping the rest of us connected on the web site and at reunions.
I, for one, did not have a miserable time in high school because I realized the education I received there would, and has, served me well. As far as I remember no one ever gave me a hard time and even though I may not have been the smartest person in any particular subject, my love of learning and world view was widened. It is good to get to know folk with different thoughts/opinions/beliefs
Otherwise talking with them would be like talking to myself and I already know what I think and/or believe. Just a few thoughts.
I have lived an amazing life so far and hope to continue doing so for a while longer.
Every morning when I wake up I am grateful for 3 thing.
1. I woke up (because one never knows).
2. David woke up (because one never knows).
3. We have hot and cold running water in our home.
After that, its all good.
Torun Almér, BS, MA, MPA
Janet Bruckner Maronde TYPO
Janet- I am so sorry. Not only did I transpose your middle and last name, but I also mispelled Bruckner. Not a good day for me. My apology.
Folks- our fabulous, and invaluable database manager is, of course, Janet Bruckner Maronde, not the transposed name on email.
The DECEASED By Date of Death- and the DECEASED By Last Name Tabs at top of our webpage have been updated.
The DECEASED By Date of Death– and the DECEASED By Last Name Tabs at top of our webpage have been updated. Also, each list now has the Senior Class Photo of classmate attached.
A big thank you to Janet Maronde Buckner, the Class’ offical database keeper, for taking her time to update the database with the Senior photos.
Also, a shoutout to Caren Curry Cameron who has used her magic to discover at least eight missing snail mail address of classmates.
Finally, be watching your MAILBOX in the next 2 weeks for a snail mail announceing details of our 60th Class Reunion as well as RSVP information. Another thank you to Caren Curry Cameron for managing these Class mailings.
As usual, all email blasts, as well as late breaking information on the 60th Reunion, will be posted to our webpage. See you all soon…
